WHAT TO EXPECT?
Compass is a place where people are finding direction together. You will experience a welcoming environment, engaging worship and a thought-provoking message. At Compass we also connect through Compass Groups and serve at church and in our communities. We believe that real community is formed this way and that people can start to truly care for each other when we connect, grow, serve, give, and go.
We desire to see lives changed by Christ-centered relationships and we use messages, videos and music to help facilitate that. Come and join us for a Sunday gathering, get connected through Compass Groups and start serving through the many opportunities at Compass.
WHERE DO WE MEET?
Compass is located in the northern area of Frederick County, Virginia. Cross Junction to be exact. Our meeting location is in the Lake holiday Clubhouse located on 1045 Lakeview Drive Cross Junction, VA. Lake Holiday is a private gated community. For those living outside Lake Holiday, one must RSVP before entering the gates on Sunday morning.
WHEN SHOULD I GET THERE?
Our Sunday service begins at 10AM. We recommend getting here 15 to 20 minutes early to account for parking and finding a seat. If you have kids, please allow for extra time to get them signed in to their environments.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Most people dress casually—jeans are a pretty common clothing choice around Compass—but you can wear anything you feel comfortable in.
WHERE DO MY KIDS GO?
If you would prefer to keep your child with you during the service is perfectly fine with us. All are welcome to be a part of our worship service. But we also have exciting environments for your children and students that take place simultaneous to worship. A nursery is provided for children from 0-2 years of age. Beginning at age 2-5th grade, we teach through interactive Large Group videos, and live teaching. We encourage you to bring your child to the same gathering each week to help your kids build consistent friendships with peers and leaders. Please look for a friendly First Time Guests Check-in station. There you will find a Guest Services Crew member to check your child(ren) into our programs. You will receive a name tag for your child with a matching identification pick up tag. Then you will be escorted to your child’s environment.
WHERE DO MY TEENS GO?
Youth 6th-12th grades are encouraged to attend the worship service with their families. We believe that is critical in their spiritual development to share the music and teaching experience. Many of our youth also serve during the Sunday morning services.
WHAT HAPPENS THE REST OF THE WEEK?
At Compass we stay connected throughout the week through our Compass Groups, Compass Men and Compass Women’s ministry activities, as well as by serving at church and in our communities. Compass is a church plant of MissioChurch and it is essential to find a way to connect with others in real and meaningful ways. There are many different opportunities to connect, grow, serve, give, and go. Please visit the connect, grow, serve, give, and go pages to find out where you can plugin.
